Coating of the Madinat Salman Bridges
Al Makeena Building Construction has completed the coating of all exposed concrete surfaces on 3 vehicular bridges and 1 pedestrian bridge that make up this important new town development. MasterProtect 300 protective coating was used for the exposed concrete bridge surfaces and MasterProtect 1860 was utlilised for both the exposed and submerged surfaces of the concrete piers. A total of over 32,000 square metres was completed.
Al Makeena are proud of their bridge coating success having already completed numerous bridges including the Sitra Bridges, Umm Al Hassam Flyover and Underpass, Mina Salman Flyover and Underpass, Burgerland Roundabout Flyover, Hamad Town Flyover, Durrat Al Bahrain Highway bridges and the Flyover at IKEA Interchange.
MasterProtect 300 is a single component, high performance, crack bridging, acrylic resin based protective coating for long term protection of concrete from aggressive atmospheric gases and the ingress of water and water born salts.
